24mo. viii, 242pp. Engraved frontispiece and four additional engravings inserted as plates. Finely printed by Didot, as cited at the verso of the half-title. A scarce edition. Bound in red leather over boards, nicely ornamented with gilt rules and titling with additional gilt-work at head and tail of spine and dentelles. With satin ribbon bookmark. Moderate soiling to exterior and dentelles, some rubbing to extremities, residual bookseller's description to endpaper, blushes of foxing, two exhibits of a failed biopredation effort to lower cover. A.e.g. Very good.
