(16), 64pp. booklet + 7 clay tiles. Produced by Richter for an international audience, this anchor puzzle invites the player to tessellate the variously sized tiles into different shapes. The accompanying booklet provides 195 permutations for the player to master and its preface in four languages serves both as an instruction for the set and as advertising for Richter's other similar puzzles, among them The Tormentor and The Pythagoras, as well as the three dimensional Anchor Blocks. Booklet bound in pictorial wraps suggesting, speciously, the game's Middle Eastern origins. All housed in paper-covered box with illustration to upper panel showing a perplexed ancient Greek citizen. All tiles structurally sound, with only one showing light cracks, minimal rubbing to booklet, trace wear to box. Near fine and quite scarce.
