Each card bears a line drawing by Eber of one or more women significant to American history, each one taken up as an icon of 20th-century feminism and beyond. Those depicted are Rachel Carson, Jane Addams, Henrietta Szold, Sojourner Truth, Harriet Tubman, Mildred "Babe" Didrikson Zaharias, Maria Mitchell, Sara Winemucca, Ruth Benedict, Margaret Mead, Belva Ann Lockwood, Clara Barton, Elizabeth Blackwell, Dorothea Dix, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Lucy Stone, and Susan B. Anthony. The rear of each card provides a biographical sketch. This is an early work by Eber, who became a respected anthropologist and currently works with the Indigenous women of Chiapas Cards enclosed in a four-flap portfolio with printed pictorial boarder and illustration pasted on.
