Octavo. (12)ff., french fold. Illustrated with eleven woodcuts of Poe's face by Frasconi, and with an introduction by Charles Baudelaire, upon whose maudlin work Poe was inextricably influential. Printed on handmade Goyu paper. This was the first in what was to be a series of six literary portraits, but as far as we can determine only three were completed. Extremities slightly rubbed, else fine in printed boards with glassine dust wrapper.
